OUR STORY
The Amanavikrana Foundation was born out of a profound commitment to transform the lives of those who have been marginalized and stigmatized by society. We focus on providing comprehensive rehabilitation and reintegration programs for prisoners and juveniles who have served their sentences, are not a significant danger to themselves or society and intend to turn their lives around.
-
Our aim is to equip these individuals with the vocational skills and opportunities needed to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society successfully.
-
By collaborating with corporations, we strive to promote fair hiring practices and give these individuals a genuine second chance, free from discrimination.
-
Our work is not limited to rehabilitation alone; we are also committed to advocating for policy changes that improve housing and employment opportunities for released prisoners.
Through our initiatives, we seek to humanize the criminal justice system and create a more inclusive and supportive society.
The Founder
Manasvi Adusumilli
After working with organizations dedicated to exonerating innocent convicts and advocating for their rights in the US, Manasvi was perplexed by the inadequate support systems in local prisons in her home country - India. Driven by a fierce belief in second chances and a passion for helping marginalized communities, she founded the Amanavikrana Foundation.
